During that day, it felt like one of the worst days and I felt so sad, but once I had time to reflect and the dust settled, I was fine. I am actually stronger and more determined to keep doing what I have been doing.
I am so thankful for this group because I can turn to all of you during these difficult days and not feel judged for my feelings. We all may handle situations differently and that is ok. Never feel bad for protecting your child. When things are bad, just breathe, let go and keep moving.
We will all continue to encounter ignorant and selfish people and unfortunately, so will our children. We can try to change their views and that is all we can do. Some will understand and some will not. At the end of the day, the only thing that really matters is you and your child's safety and well-being.
So continue to do what you do to protect your children and always hold onto hope that one day we will have a cure and a better understanding of food allergies.
